The Most Beautiful Thing I've Ever Seen

Last night I saw then most beautiful thing! It could possible be the MOST beautiful thing I've ever seen, but definitely the most beautiful since I became a mommy.

Yesterday evening Jake and I were waiting on Ryan, one of Jake's best friends, to arrive from Houston. We knew that Ryan was going to get here a little later than we usually eat, so we wanted to let Cady go ahead. Jake put her in her chair and began to scoop Chicken Alfredo onto her plate. She quickly grabbed his hand. "Do you want to pray?" he asked.
"Yea." Cady said as she nodded.

Then I watched the most beautiful thing; my sweet little girl praying with her daddy over the food God had blessed us with. When he had finished she looked up at him and said, "a me!"

Busy, busy!

Wow-wee

Here in the Hamilton House we have been busy, busy! I guess the beautiful weather just does that to you; makes you want to get out and DO STUFF. Can you believe it, 70 and 80 degree weather in the middle if February? I can either, but we have been eating it up. We have been playing outside, running errands and having a blast.

My sweet hubby had a wonderful opportunity over the weekend. He was able to see what it's really like staying home with the kids. The only thing is that I was here to help. Both of the kids were having a winey weekend and being very needy. By the end of the weekend Jake was telling me how he couldn't get anything done between playing with Cady, Changing diapers, holding Wyatt, etc... Hmmm. :)

For the last few nights and days, my little boy had not been sleeping very much. Like, only 1 to 1&½ hours at a time. Do you know what he wanted to do while he was awake? If you answered EAT then you are correct! Man, I was SOOOOooooo tired! God must have known that I was just about at the breaking point, because as of last night we are back on a regular schedule. Thank you Jesus!

Here are a few Hamilton House pic:

Getting a drink...or trying to

Passed out

also, passed out

Oh my gosh! He is so strong! He can already put all his weight on his legs and hold his head up (for a few seconds)

Yumming up a spoon of peanutbutter

being a stinker

A sweet smile! For some reason in this picture he looks a little bug-eyed...

Our super cute church outfit!

Cheese!

Hello! Talking on a piece of paper.

Shhh, seeping! (I spelled it that way on purpose)

Wearing her sunglasses like Momma does, sort of...

"Ohhh" Talkin' to his Momma

Cady thought she needed to put her baby in the swing too!
That's all I have time for today, until I write again...

Blessings

Today, Wyatt smiled at me really big, on purpose, for the first time. It was so stinking sweet that I burst into tears! He's given those little random smiles before, but this one was different. I was talking to him and smiling and he looked up at me and smiled back. This mommas heart jumped with joy. I'll try to catch a picture of it so you can share in my happiness!
Cady has been a toot recently. I have decided that I'm not cleaning the house anymore. It has become pointless. I pick it up, and she gets it back out... Yesterday I had just finished mopping and vacuuming the house and she got a box of crackers out of the pantry (evidently I didn't close the door all the way). There were smashed crackers from the door of the pantry all the way through the living room and into her bedroom where she dumped the box out onto the floor. So I did it all again. : /
For those of you who don't know, or haven't thought about it in a while I just wanted to say:
   - I serve an AWESOME and MIGHTY God
     and
   - Prayer works
Just wanted you to know :)

A Dirty Word

James 5:16 says, "Therefore confess your sins one to another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much."
and Matthew 21:22 says if we pray in faith that, "all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive"

Today I am asking you to pray with me for my daddy. For the last few months he has been having some tests run and at the end of January the report came back diagnosing him with prostate cancer. It's such a dirty word. 6 little letters pushed together that make hearts pound and eyes begin to tear...cancer.

I knew from the moment Dad told me the tests had come back positive that God was in control. We can't always understand God's plan, we just have to know that His plan is perfect. I have complete faith that God is going to take care of it! However, God tells us to seek the prayer of other believers to lift us up, so I'm petitioning all of you.

Thank you in advance for the prayers you will be sending up. I know my daddy will appreciate them, and please know that I do too. God hears every word.

Today

Today I need sleep...

Wyatt has been eating every hour and a half today. I'm hoping it's a growth spurt. If it's not...I guess i'm just going to feed him every hour and a half.

Cady has decided that she will not be napping today, so neither will her mommy. She has decided instead that she is going to yell. Not at anything or anyone, she is just yelling.

Oh, today...please be over soon!

Whew!

Do you notice anything missing?

Can’t figure it out???
Look again…

It’s this
For a while now Cady has been waking up in the middle of the night. First she was sick, then it was her teeth, but then she would just wake up. It was EVERY night, sometime 2, 3 or 4 times. We would go in, help her find her binky lay her back down, and she would go right back to sleep. Then, she started losing it during the day and would whine until we found it. We spent more of the day looking for it than anything else.

So, here in the Hamilton House we are breaking the Binky habit! The original plan had been that when Cadence turned 18 months she would only get to have it at nap time and bed time. Then when she turned 2 we would get rid of it all together. Beginning last Friday morning, that plan went out the window. I figured that we are already a little sleep deprived so we might as well get it all over with!

We are mostly Binky free for 5 days (nap time and bed time for the first 2 days) and totally Binky free for 72 hours. YAY! I lift my hands in praise to the Lord because it hasn’t been bad at all. Actually, it has been SO MUCH BETTER! There has been way less whining, naptimes have been longer and more restful and she hasn’t been up in the night at all!

WHEW!
