It's been a busy world for us, but I'm back the the blogging world for now!

I got a chance to take a few pictures of my new nephew. I LOVE to take pictures. I don't know if you know this about me. I'm not really all that good, but I really, really like to do it!
Here are a few of the better ones I was able to take yesterday.

He's a pretty sweet boy!

Sometimes You Just Don't Know

Sometimes you see a sweet picture of a baby,

and you think "Aw! What a sweet baby!"
As a matter of fact, this sweet little guy was born yesterday.

But, you know, sometimes you just don't know...

Like you might not know that he was thought about for years before he was conceived, and that the road to his conception was long and difficult.

You might not know that for YEARS,

there were many people praying

and keeping the faith

that someday God would make the hope of this little one a reality.

You also may not know that
this daddy

and this momma

walked the road to this day with such grace; that they focused their eyes upward when the days getting here weren't that much fun.

Sometimes you don't know that a sweet little baby is a testimony of prayer and how it really DOES work. A testament of Jesus; how he listens when we call and just how much He really loves us.

This sweet little guy is simply a miracle crafted by the hands of God, the newest addition to our family.

Welcome to the world,
Krease Michael Koonce.
We are so excited that you are finally here!

More Birthday Stuff...

I told him that it would be nice if he at least PRETENDED to be excited about his gifts...
he did a pretty good job, don't you think?
At least for the first one, it went down hill from there.
He doesn't look excited about this one at all, and it was the best one!
Yes, my sweet hubby had a birthday. Pour guy; his birthday is 2 days after Cady's. He didn't get quite as much fu-fu for his big day...maybe next time. Actually, Wednesday was Jake's 29th Birthday. He had a really hard time with this one. He is VERY sad that this is his last 20-something birthday. Evidently when you turn 30 people expect you to act like an adult or something...

We celebrated His birthday on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday...I'd say that was a lot of celebrating.
This little girl did intrude on some of the celebrating. She opened a few gifts from her Aunt and Uncle...

They gave her a little pink guitar (because she really wants to be like her PawPaw and Daddy) and that little tutu that she has on (as well as 2 others).

It was a full week of birthdaying...is that a word?

Cadence is 2!

Yesterday Cady turned 2! I can't believe it...time just flies by! My beautiful, sweet, little girl is two!

To celebrate the event this momma went a little nuts in the decorating department, then we invited several family and friends over to celebrate.  We based the party around Cady's favorite thing: CHOCOLATE!

We included 24 pictures of Cady..one for each month of her sweet life so far.

We had pom-poms out the wa-zoo, because they're fun!

The precious birthday girl got all dressed up in her birthday outfit.
For dinner we served up chicken fajitas, offered in either regular chicken or a mole (chocolate) rubbed chicken. Then in keeping with the theme, we also had a regular salsa and a mole salsa.
But all the REAL chocolate came in on the dessert table.

We had chocolate molten cupcakes with chocolate butter cream icing.

Chocolate covered oreos, and chocolate covered pretzels...

and a chocolate fountain. There was strawberries, pineapple, rice krispie treats, pound cake and marshmallows all waiting to be dunked into the fountain.
Sadly, I didn't get any good shots of the tables people sat at to eat. They were really cute...oh. well.

Then as a 'thank you', Cady offered all her guests a goody bag containing all of her favorite chocolate candies!

Yes, my beautiful little girl is 2. How much God must love us to give us such a precious gift!
